Use `commit-editing-transaction` to persist edits from an open transaction. If the transaction isn't committed, the edits are discarded. ## Example prompt *"Save those changes."* Pass the `transaction_id`. ## Example response IDs and tokens below are placeholders; field names and structure are exactly as returned. ```json { "transaction": { "id": "TXN_EXAMPLE", "status": "committed" } } ``` A `status` of `committed` confirms the edits are saved. NOTE: Commit can fail if the design is edited concurrently (for example, a person editing in the browser) during your transaction. Retrying the same transaction won't help, because its snapshot is stale. Cancel it, start a fresh transaction, re-apply, and commit. ## Learn more * [MCP tools and rate limits](https://www.canva.dev/docs/apps/mcp/tools/) * [start-editing-transaction](https://www.canva.dev/docs/apps/mcp/tools/start-editing-transaction/) * [perform-editing-operations](https://www.canva.dev/docs/apps/mcp/tools/perform-editing-operations/) * [Verify your Canva MCP app](https://www.canva.dev/docs/apps/mcp/verify-app/) * [Design edit handoff](https://www.canva.dev/docs/apps/mcp/workflows/design-edit/)
