The Canva Developers SDK docs include three kinds of pre-built examples. They differ in how much of an app they show you, and in which surface they're written for. * **[Starter templates](https://www.canva.dev/docs/apps/app-templates/)**: Complete, ready-to-run projects for apps inside Canva. Scaffold one with the [Canva CLI](https://www.canva.dev/docs/apps/canva-cli/)'s `canva apps create` command, then edit it into your own app. Reach for a template when you're starting something new and want a production-shaped foundation rather than a snippet. * **[Reference apps](https://www.canva.dev/docs/apps/reference-apps/)**: End-to-end walkthroughs of connecting an existing platform to Canva with the REST APIs, and automating a content workflow on top of it. Reach for a reference app when you're building for Canva for your platform and want to see how the pieces fit together from end to end. * **[Feature examples](https://www.canva.dev/docs/apps/feature-examples/)**: Small apps from the starter kit for apps inside Canva, each demonstrating a single feature or API. Reach for a feature example when you already know which capability you need and want the smallest working code for it.
